Underground deep 1/3 game in NYC. Been playing for about 3 hours at this point. Villain and I are both semi-regulars at this game, played with him a few times, pretty aggressive, seems to adjust preflop ranges based on if hes a winner or a loser in the game. He's the big winner tonight (sitting on about $2k).

OTTH

Preflop: folds to mp who raises to $15 (varies preflop bet sizing based on hand strength, been playing relatively straight forward), folds to hero ($700) otb who looks down at T8, and I decide to 3bet to $45, folds to villain ($~2k) in sb who cold calls (assigning him a relatively narrow range 99+,AQs+,AKo+), mp folds.

Flop ($108): Tx3x6
villain checks, hero checks back (not much worst is going to call, all his bigger pps aren't folding)

Turn ($108): 9
villain bets out $65, hero calls

River ($238): 9x
villain bets out $180 (quite polarizing bet, doubt he would bet this much with JJ+ for value, only real value hands here are 99 and TT specifically, he has all his bluffing range otr), hero?????

What do we think about r/f the turn? I'm guessing V is the type we can induce to bluff with the flop check.

AP I think we have to fold. I'm not sure why V can't do this with JJ+. I guess we can discount AA/KK because of no 4! pre but I can see JJ/QQ taking this line.

Bet flop, lot of cool turn cards for us, like this one. I'd raise turn too, lot of cool rivers for us, probably less cool rivers for him. I don't understand why you 3b this hand and then shut down on such a good flop and turn...if you're going to play it this way, just call the initial raise. I'm kind of tempted to shove river since he can fold better, but the way you played the hand also means that he's more likely to look you up with anything Tx+

the reason i checked flop was to keep his entire bluffing range ott, and given the range i assigned him, i didn't think he would fold better or call much worst.

This seems pretty backwards. Now you want to bluff catch on the turn, but wondering if you should fold river when it's a relative brick? What?

Why can't he call flop with overs/backdoor draws/worse pairs/etc? Given how deep you are, he can definitely call your 3b with a lot worse than the range you gave him too. Betting flop also folds out some overcards which is fine, and there are a lot of good runouts for you to get stacks in when he does have a stronger hand. Checking flop won't do that.

Yeah this. Gotta bet this flop. If you don't bet this flop, ask yourself "what flops do I bet?"
