Hero HJ- $1500 - God run for the day. Viewed as a competent poker player. Young, aggressive in the right spots, and only showing down the goods. Was check raised earlier by an old nit when I had two black AA and showed the easy fold to collect a raffle ticket.

Villain SB (Fish) $300 - limp calling. Just sat down at the table 2 orbits ago and has already donked off has his stack. He reloaded before the hand.

Villain UTG (Whale) $1200 - Has played 100% of hands for the last 3 hours. VERY straightforward preflop. (larger than normal raises when he has a PP or Ax and limp calls everything else). He's gone on a little heater and luck boxed his way to a larger than normal stack.

Villain MP (Tricky player) $500 - I've played with him in a 2/5 game a few days back and we respect the other persons game. He's tricky when he needs to be, check raising his semi-bluffs and value betting his made hands.

UTG $25 , MP calls
I call OTB with 2d2h (I'm in position, set mining looking to eat the whale whole)
SB calls. all others fold

Pot $105

Ah, 2s, 8c

SB checks

UTG bets out $75. MP folds.

I call. (I want SB to call, no need to get out of line yet despite one of the gutter draws being there..lol good luck)

SB Calls.

$330

Turn 6c

Board now reads, Ah 2s 8c 6c

SB Checks
UTG Checks

I lead for?

SB is already in for 1/3 his stack so getting all of his money is a fair goal here. I think I bet 1/2 pot to induce him to call all-in with the whale following along. That is a great board for you and I don't think I over bet too heavy where I stand to lose them.

probably $220-ish. Get the SB all in.

If both call, pot is roughly $990. Whale would have ~900 at that point.

Is my logic off if I'm thinking how to get the whale to call off whats left of his stack? IE If I get him to commit to his Ace.

He has $1100 going into the turn.

$330 in the middle.

If I bet $200 into $330, if SB comes along $730, if UTG comes along $930.

Jam river? Or am I just being to greedy.

Think that is being a bit greedy. I bet 1/2 pot on turn and and then a bet around $500 would be warranted giving you a nice pot. You never know and he might have 2 pair or a hand he will call down with but dont leave money on the table by being too aggressive in my opinion

I like both plays. I will say a shove only has to be called around 60% of the time to he just as profitable.
