Late Friday night. Villain has $200, I cover. We have a very relevant Hand History—it happened literally the hand right before this!

I over-limp in LP with Td7d, about 5 ways. Flop Ad7c2d. V in UTG leads for $10, only I call. Turn Kx. He leads $20 I call. River Qd. He bets $30, I raise to $75, he calls and mucks.

THIS HAND: I over-limp again, with 9c7c, and again we go 5-ways.

Flop 8c5d4c ($10, 5-handed)

SB leads for $6, Villain in BB calls, a couple folds, and this time I raise my combo draw to $20. Both blinds call.

Turn: 8c5d4c 3c (pot: $60, 3-handed).

I turn a flush. They both check. I bet $40. SB folds, BB calls.

River: 8c5d4c 3c 5s (pot: $140)

BB checks.

Is this a mandatory value bet, or are you finding a check-back? I feel like it’s really bad to have the 7c here, right?

He shouldn't really have sets. Just checking his option pre and then a call-call OTF... He's got some 6c5x 6c4x 43 53 86 that sort of thing. Depends a bit on the V. Sounds like he's pretty sticky from HH. I could see bet/fold of 65 or just a x back.

I think its thin but a small bet like $40 again gets paid where you are ahead 50% of the time

Passive player who sounds like a station.

I would bet hoping to get looked up by an 8… $40-50 seems fine.

Definitely a bet. A lot of times on a paired board in NL I like to split range. Like 60% pots with flushes, especially weaker ones and also some of the ones that have two high flush cards like AKs. Boats I like to overbet, also maybe my flushes that have a high club with a low club like A2s that unblocks other high flushes.

In spread limit we can't overbet this river. Maybe we just maxbet / fold this hand even though the raise will be pretty small.

I feel like to get him to call my River bet with worse, I’d like him to have called me on the Turn with a class of hands that usually have the 7c in them: 8x7c, 5x7c, all the 7x6x (that trapped on the flop).

Granted he could still have all the Ac8x and Ac5x hands—but when I have the 7c I feel like it pushes his River range more towards air or boats.

I check it back. BB tables 82o and My Hand Is Good.

Just bet it. It's very low stakes live cash. It's not like you're playing lex luthor of Phil Ivey. Just bet the hand. He rivered a full house, good for him. He's likely got 10's or JJ.
