Just open to opinions, played in my regular 100max spread-limit 1-2 game.

v1. A very tight regular, makes it 7$ under the gun.
v2. A newer player to the game pretty reckless, with wide calling range, calls.

Hero: Pick up aces in the cut off and 3-bet to 21$.

Action folds back around to v1. and calls pretty quickly and so does the whale behind him. Flop comes down 10 7 6. v1. instashoves for around 85$ and v2. immediately snap calls for the rest of stack his which was around 70$. I analyze the hand at this, tight regular who raises under the gun calls 3-bet with range of somewhere between TT-QQ and had a club in his hand, seeing the ten of clubs was on board i automatically take out top set or any other set on board because he would check-raise to induce a bluff if i missed completely, as well as the nut flush because he would have also done the same.

I am pretty certain that v1. has either QQ or KK with the king of clubs, but really have no idea what the whale has. Since I don't have the ace of clubs and i face a instashove and snap call post-flop on a pretty wet board, I lay my aces down, later to find out that my read was half right, v1. showed QQ with the Q and v2. showed ATo with the A.

How's the fold?

if the club came it was a good fold.

seriously, though, this shortstacked, i'm probably stacking off. definitely against one player. the second player makes it harder.

grunch

i'd raise more pf probably closer to 30 makes it that much easier to get stacks in post flop.

its close.... if both players have their ranges split between made flushes and fds then you have about 20% equity. i think that might be on the good side, rarely are you going to be crushing both players here, never a huge mistake to fold.

I can't fold to pot size bets in 3bet pots with a huge fish in the hand myself. I also make it closer to $30 preflop.

I don't see why you'd assume V1 would c/r any of this range here given the fish is sandwiched in between the two of you.

I like a huge 3 bet preflop to fold out tight ass or commit him to a shove. If you fold out the tight ass, you're heads up with the whale. /sigh As played, I think I'm calling and praying, as you're getting almost 3:1.

In future, leave out the hands that show up for a better discussion. I failed to read the end of the post and came to same hands the villains showed up with.

please explain why making a tight player fold pre when you have aces is a +EV play.

Stack sizes... you're forcing the tight ass into a shove pre or getting HU with the whale. I've found through the years that one pair is best played against one player. Only a 50 BB buyin, and it seems thats the stack sizes we're looking at here. Shovefest for the win!
