Hey guys, this is my first post. I was wondering if any one had any input on how this hand was played? This was at Commerce Casino - 100nl game. Blinds are $2/$3.

I'm in the small blind. Here's the action:

UTG+1 raises to $10.
3 other players call.
I'm in the SB with 9-10 offsuit and call.

Flop: Q,J,8 rainbow

I check.
UTG+1 bets $30.
UTG+2 calls. And the other 2 players fold.
I raise it to $120.
UTG+1 folds.
UTG+2 starts getting angry and spews a bunch of BS then decides to call.

Turn: K

I go all-in for about $400.
UTG+2 calls.

River: 2 (no possible flush on board)

I turn over my 9-10 then this guy starts giving a speech about how he earlier said that he was going to take all my money in one hand and blah blah blah. (He was tilting after I beat him in a few hands). I knew I was in trouble - did this guy seriously call with a gutshot and hit it?!? He turns over A-10 offsuit and wins. So, what do you guys think? Did I play it wrong in anyway?

On a side note, regulars might know this guy....he notorious for getting on everyone's nerve. 50/60-something-year-old guy with a mustache and an accent (middle eastern maybe, I'm not sure). Does dirty tricks like telling a player he will check all the way down and when the player turns his cards over, the guys bets.

As played Id raise a little more on the flop, 150, due to two people already in pot and we want to set up a turn bet jam of ~ pot

Did someone say fold pre flop?

You're playing a 33BB game. You want hands that flop TP and get it in. T9o isn't close.

As played, you're getting your stack in. It is a cooler. Move on.

You didn't really mention effective stacks, so I will assume effective stacks are at $500.

T9o from the SB is not a great hand. If it were suited, sure, call, but not suited is a fold.

As played, the betting and raising is fine as there are a LOT of worse hands that call you. Turn shove is fine.

This is just a cooler. Villain called $100 raise on a gutshot, that is what you want. He got lucky. You didn't necessarily do anything wrong.

And I disagree with raising more on the flop. You don't want to push people off the hand, you want lessor hands to call.

On the flop, with the $30 bet and call, pot is around $100. So the $120 bet is right on the high edge of okay . Anything more and you probably push out KQ, QT, J8 type hands which is what we don't want.

just sucks villain hit a gut shot on you. file that info away and stack him later

Come turn, shove is fine as you will get called by a lot of two pair combos.

i know that dude you describe : he is brutal.
saw him flip a player's cards over during a hand.
me and my homeys used to call him the 'angry gambler' and 'the snatchhead'.

AT on that board is a double belly buster, not a gutshot, though he only has 4 clean outs, he has a perceived 8 outs to stack you, hence his call on the flop. jus sayin.
