$100 cap buyin 1/2nl @Crown Melbourne
Villain: mid 20's asian guy bad LAG. Hero 3bet QQ vs another player earlier in the session and board comes A high and stack off against that player and QQ was good. After, the Villain complained to the table that he should've cold called the 3bet with ATo because he would've hit his Ace. Another hand, few limpers to V in CO and isos to a small $10 with K2s, 4 handed and board comes K76r. V's cbet gets check raised and he 3bets the flop and they get it in ~100BB effective stack. Other V had 76 and the V in discussion binks a K on the turn. Current stack of $500+
Hero: mid 20's Asian guy. TAG image. Everyone at the table is aware that Hero is playing a solid narrow range preflop from early position, thus early position opens and 3bets get a lot of respect. High % showdown winrate. Stack of $240.
OTTH: Hero opens A
K
UTG $12. V calls in the CO. Heads up to the flop
(Pot: $27) Flop: J
3
4
Backdoor nfd and two overs Hero cbets $15 planning to bet fold. V calls.
(Pot: $57) Turn J
Hero checks. V snap bets two greens($50) aggressively and verbal announcement. Hero tank calls? [Why bet so aggressively, quickly and so large with trips if Hero looks like he has TT/QQ type hands?]
(Pot $157) River 8
Hero checks and V snap jams. $161 to call. Hero?
What is inticing is that ALL draws bricked. I get a lot of replies will remind me of the crap odds we're getting on the river of ~ 2:1. But on this runout + betsize, V is super polarised to Jx+. But, we can't beat some hands V is turning into a bluff like 4x/66 type hands. But given the polarizing bet combined with the live tells is this a profitable call?
