This is why you should bluff, this is the guy you want to be.

If I'm 3 ways to the flop, I'll almost never cbet as a bluff because you can simply hit the flop with strong hands often enough to not have to bluff. If I'm 2 ways to the flop vs tighter players I bluff quite often depending on board texture, and fire 2 barrels fairly frequently.

If I have hands like AK/AQ/AJ and whiff the flop I generally will NOT bluff because these hands have enough showdown value to win a decent frequency on their own, given that people will always call raises with KQ/KJ/K10 etc, hands you dominate. I am much more inclined to bluff in late position with whiffs after raising suited connectors/gappers or draws.

Bluffing river can be very good because of the mentality illustrated in this thread, that people only bet river when they have the nuts. Especially on boards where there was no flush draw on the flop, if there's a flopped fd it's too easy for them to say "oh he may have missed a fd, I'm going to call."

In very big pots, I have the goods 90% of the time or more. It's been so easy for me to just get people all in in 300-400 bb pots lately.
