2-3 game, maximum bet size of $300. Sitting about $600 effective.

Middle position and button both limp. I'm in the sb with 10c10s and I raise to 20. Bb calls, middle position folds, button calls. The pot is $63 minus rake.

Three ways to the flop of kd10h6d.
I lead for $40. Bb raises to $110. Button folds.

I think I have to raise here because of all the draws and possibly combo draws the bb may have. Plus, if he somehow has pocket 6s, I want to get as much of his money as possible, and scary cards can obviously come on later streets stopping the action.

My question is, what do I raise to?

Once you call, pot is about $275 (depending on rake). Might as well make it a max bet, as it's just over a PSB and might look bluffy. You can go 300 more, right? Not just 300 total?

Never under 300 total in this situation (or a raise of $190, which is about 2/3 pot), imo.

SPR is 9.5 and we haz a set and obviously want to eventually play for stacks barring some stoopid later street cards. We can play for stacks by the river if we bomb/bomb the early streets. Board is pretty wet, no one ever folds a draw on the flop, and middle set can even get value out of TP. So I PSB the flop and think we're losing value doing anything other than that. Also, thanks to weirdo max $300 bet rule, we can actually only bet-bet-bet for stacks if we bet slightly more than a PSB+ on the first two streets (otherwise we'll be left with more than $300 for the river).

As played, yeah, I'm raising thanks to scare cards / people rarely raise/fold / etc. I'd probably just go the maximum $300 which leaves us the maximum $300 for a turn shove.

Yes. In this game you can raise up to 300 on top of the opponents bet.

I would make it 280 leaving a max bet for turn

I want to size to whatever I think will get him to put it in best. I might go for a “same bet” strategy and make it 235 more on the flop, then bet 235 all in on the turn.

The Max bet rule kind of adds the element of psychological manipulation of us doing the exact same thing, which is essentially jamming when we 3 bet flop

I’m currently drunk playing 1-3 but I agree with above. Hmm I wouldn’t be anti calling and re eval scary turns bc all you are really scared of is cards like A,9, any diamond. I’m fine with raising thought if you think villain could be a spew tard and have hands such as two pairs and jq.

Take my advice with a grain of salt though as I’m lit at the moment.

Thank you for all your thoughts. I'm conclusion, I made it $290 to go and the villain tank folded. He never said anything to me about the hand.

Very unusual. Almost no one has a raise/fold range on a wet board in LLSNL.
