But facing a chunky bet of $70, even a minnish raise to $150 is starting to get into some serious 1/3 NL money (depending on how big your game plays), and like a 3x raise to $200 is real fricken serious.

Um, you weren't $525 effective, were you? Cuz that means a jam for like $480 would be *horrendous*, imo. If you're going to raise, then like ~$160/fold, ldo.

Like I said it was an overplay. A very large horrendous overplay. Pretty much the only mistake I made all day in a session i made 600bb profit. The way I play seems to get most of my value bets paid. So maybe he calls with AJ but probably not. My thought in game was anything he called a minclick with he was calling a jam with. Unfortunately I did not take the time to think through he had minimum of 6 combos I lose to.

I also dont buy the he did not know what he had slow roll. He 100% wanted me to feel like i had the winner and then even more so wanted to see what i was jamming with for future sessions. Our mostly private discussion after he was stammering his words with the explanation which he never ever stammers his words

At first I wasn't sure why you just posted the world's most uninteresting hand. But then it turned out you just wanted to tell us a bad beat story. You do know how to tell a story though, so at least there’s that.

Oh, and in between I was blown away by the twist (many good stories have twists), namely your decision to go for the Big Overplay by shoving instead of just calling, which I thought was a no-brainer. I gotta admit, I did not see that coming! Riveting stuff.

Winner's tilt is tough. We've probably all been there, and trying to learn from it.

Bad beat is a one or two outer on the river. I needed to have it confirmed that I was an idiot. I appreciate all the comments. They help me learn because individually and collectively, everyone brings a perspective. There are many things I did not understand before beginning to post here.

I thought this was a far more interesting hand than most of the boring hand histories most people ask about here.
