Frustrating but easy fold. You really want to play for stacks with one pair? And you’re not closing the action.

i think betting small on this flop is going to do better than checking. i dont think that would be giving away anything either b/c if i flopped the nuts id still bet flop small.

as played fold. one of the reasons i like betting flop is that often when i find myself doing what i feel is underrepping i end up make large mistakes later in the hand because i level myself into thinking people are attacking weakness. and i think calling this turn is a large mistake.

Call me a nit but I'm folding flop.
Only calling flop if you had As.

seems reasonable although against not so great players who are just going to check back the turn with worse and never bluff, probably not the best play. so if checking flop i like calling.

Personally, if I just sat down, this is a fold pre-flop, unless I know these people. After I have a feel for their playing style, I might play this marginal hand.

You can’t be happy when everyone calls.

I was surprised when I looked into this, but if a villain has the lone ace of spades, he’s favored over you on the flop at 56% - but the turn brick makes you the favorite again at 56%

Just looks like bad play all around (calling along) - disaster on the flop
Bet the flop or check-raise

You get the chance to fold again on the turn

Why do I have the feeling that you won this hand are about to explain how smart you are.

You certain of your numbers Remember an A is not an out for the lone Ace of Spades as OP has one.

Did you run Poker Odds Calculator or something similar? It says I am 63% against Asx on the flop and 80% on the turn.

However, I could be up against a flush, etc. and TPTK is hard to play on that board.

I don't play that tight, folding a hand like this preflop. Would usually fold ATo. Going to fold the flop often 4-ways.

Given flop is monotone I think it’s best to fold multi way. We are either flipping or crushed and that’s not how we make money in poker.

I think they are serious. If you are folding AJo, seems like you are playing a very tight range. Would rather limp it than fold. Would sometimes fold it to a single raise, depending on position, sizing, raiser's image, and how many callers. Would also sometimes 3! it, but not the best hand to 3! light with.

I am perfectly fine with playing a hand like that 4-ways. Just have to fold the flop a lot, whether preflop raiser or caller. In with a better hand than most of opponents.

Results were hero folded turn. HJ went allin for about 150 more, and BTN snap called. River 7c for Js5s2s8h7c. HJ showed AsJd, for TPTK and nut flush draw (freerolling hero HU). BTN won with 22 for bottom set.

Folding turn is fine, but I suspect the Grade A play is to fold the flop

I'm not trolling. It's a terrible multiway hand especially oop in low stakes. You need to be headsup v J/KQT kicker to make any money with it. If you get any action esp multiway you'll probably be starting a thread about it. You're never good on an ace high board if you get any action. AJX you can usually be drawing dead or near dead. You'll never get the right price to chase bd draws. It's not even worth raising from the button to try to steal the four bucks from a couple guys with $150 stacks. 5-10-20+ is a completely different story obviously.

It's probably solver & EV bad to fold it here pf, but irl 1-3 you'll win a lot of small pots and then get stacked by a tricky reg, lucky fish, slumming pro, or bored plo player.

A lot of people would've gone broke here, nice job Hero.
