Do we really wanna 3x open J9s UTG and habitually have it go 4 ways to the flop? That's probably a great way to light money on fire.

If V is too aggro, I'd plan to c/r the flop. We don't exactly have a ton of SDV and I don't expect him to just shovel stacks in when the flush hits (he's gotta have at least that much presence of mind if he's a profitable player), so you need to make a massive show of strength now.

quite frankly you can float with any two here against a rec/wannabe pro/nit box

I do it all the time

if people at the table are not capable of double barreling for both value and bluffs then raising J9s UTG is a fine play. There are only about 8% of hands that are raisable under the gun, so we need to find some hands that balance our strong hands and J9s is a good one to use. I actually think folding is bad if you have commanded some respect from the table, i.e., if you are considered a good player by the table folding is really bad

at a table where there is a lot of 3betting going on and people are overaggressive you can bag this hand pre and start raising lower cards like 46s and such, you won't be dominated when you come back in, i.e. you don't have to fold to 3bets like you would with this hand

as played, villain did not bet the turn when the hearts did not come in so we essentially won this hand regardless of the river. Or we at least broke even. We don't know if villain snap calls any non hearts and folds to any heart. If he's that good we can never beat him anyway.

if villain bets 160 on the turn we call or raise, so when he doesn't bet exactly when we are on a naked flush draw we win (break even lol)and the river doesn't matter if he calls or not. Or better yet, he doesn't need to fold very often for us to show a huge profit.

You could have tried 200 or 180 but vs these nit boxes it doesn't matter that much.

I would also play 66 and 22 this way, JJ and TT aswell. As for my bluffs, I am probably at the bottom of my range as I raise a few combos on the flop to his raise in the first place. Hence J9hh is probably the worst hand I get to the river here with.

I was wondering if I should be overbetting this spot on the river vs villain? Or if I should just give up on the river. Keep in mind I know for a fact he has 0 kings when he checks back turn, and he doesn't have bluffs either since he would have barrelled. Therefore he has somekind of weakish showdown value most of the time here.
as far as giving up is concerned, you can absolutely give up on the river. But I would not do so if you don't think he has a king. River is always gonna be tough for anyone to give you advice on. There are a million pieces of information you might have that we don't and the money in poker is making the right plays on the river

but since you have already won the hand when you got a free river, you can certainly give up here, it's just that you didn't think he had a K so absolutely fire out. Forcing him to make light call downs on you is great for metagame

I think leading 350 on the river is pretty cool. But I also think that 34ss is a playable hand. So take it with a grain of salt.

The open is standard, IMO, but just fold to the 3! or 4! Otherwise the hand seems fine to me. The river sizing seems okay, since we're mainly targeting whiffed c-bets. I'd also consider overpotting it with a $400 bet, but it kind of sucks that we block JJ/99 with our hand, which are probably in his folding range.
