Maniac like? Or is he actually manic?

If his range really is super wide all the time, this is a call. Even if he has zero bluffs and every possible straight combo, there's almost enough AT/JT/T9 in his range to make calling +EV; we only need to be about 30%. Throw in a few combos of other stupid stuff and the occasional bluff, and we're there.

Villain shipped $169 into like $290? If so you're getting 2.7-1 so you need to have the best hand OTR almost 1 outta 4 times. I think that's likely a stretch here and you're likely almost never good. Folding seems right. But in the heat of the moment I doubt I actually do.

Edit: 27% equity needed to call.

Easy call. What hand could he have where the 10 on the river makes him better then a set? the only hands your losing to that make any sense at all are QKdd,78dd, 9xdd and possibly QKhh.

Most likely he rivered 2 pair or is just bluffing because he thinks the 10 is scary. Regardless get your money in.

Im betting 40-50 on the flop and shipping turn. Absolute dream scenario with a set vs "very loose/maniac" opponent. These guys dont give an f about how much you bet compared to pot size

Thanks for the replies

The villain is manic aggressive playing any two at anytime for any price. Pretty much every hand is raised which makes it hard to define a range for him. He opens 72 off the same as AA. Will open J3hh because he likes hearts. Really no rhyme or reason to his game. I had trouble finding hands that I beat on the river besides a couple rivered two pair combos.

This player is not beating you often here. Notice the prior hand you posted. He called his draws and then when he hit he bet small for value. In this had he called both bets then shoved river. This is most likely a bluff on what he perceives to be a scare card. Please get your money in.
