$600 ES

Folds to hero OTB who raises $20 with QJ. BB calls.

Flop ($40): KT5
Hero bets $25, BB snap calls

Turn ($90): J
Checks thru

River ($90): 3
BB bets $50.

BB is generally loose passive MAWG reg who is barely paying attention to the game as usual and spends a lot of his time looking at his phone. Earlier we played a hand where he limped in EP and I iso raised in HJ with KJo. Board came AKx/Q/T completing BDFD. We checked to the river where he bet, I called and he showed AJo for a chop.

Overheard him telling his neighbor that he was unhappy with the way he played it because he should have bet flop but he knows players will often do the betting for him and he can pick them off.

Call or fold here?

Fold.
He called the flop so it means he holds pair f kings or tens.
He wouldn't bet the tens at the river.
Ao he got u beat with his pair of kings.

Fold vs. a passive player with this mentality.

Then say, "Your king is good," and hope he shows his hand

Explo fold with this dry flop against a passive player who spends their session on their phone.

The standard is to call in most other situations.
