I,m in big blind. Cut off has been running bad and raises to 25 with 105 behind. he likes to get it in when short stracked. i have about 550 plus. No limpers. i have qq. Do you flat call and see flop and if good flop put him all in or put him ai preflop? His range here is strong a or pocket pair.

Also, how would you play it he had 600 behind?

Stick it in pf with 105 behind.

If he has 600, I usually flat pf and c/r or c/c on non A or K flops. Probably c/c c/f the A or K flops.

Stick it in preflop with 105 effective stacks.

With $550 effective stacks, I reraise to between $75 and $125 most of the time, depending on the conditions in the universe at that moment. A small pct of the time, I call.

I know you've heard this a ton, but these questions are very, very basic, and you'll save yourself a lot antagonism if you post in the smaller stakes forums.

Medium-High Stakes Full Ring
Discussion of $400+ pot-limit and no-limit texas hold'em full ring games, situations and strategies.

does a hand in a 500nl game not fit here?

Response to the hand:
Flatting is a bad play. Shoving is fine. Raising to 75, then shoving any flop for his last 55 is fine too.

well considering it is absurdly standard and the villain has 20 BB and the HERO has QQ...

i'm not some poker genious or snob, but this is crossing the line, this really belongs in micro stakes...
