The idea of "raising for information" doesn't exist. What you're effectively doing is turning a medium strength hand into a bluff when you think you're "raising for information"
Flat pre, fold flop. He shouldn't be c-betting with AK on that kind of board because it hits the kind of range that would flat a 3-bet pretty hard.
Everyone keeps talking about what we put villain on and what he will or wont cbet etc etc etc, but what about what villain puts us on? He isnt going to 3 barrel air into us after flatting a 3bet IP, because OUR range smacks this flop pretty well too. There is nothing wrong with calling flop and evaluating turn. Villain could be feeling confident again and squeezing a little light with KQs or 77, he's definitely cbetting this flop with everything because it's 3way and this board is dry enough in his eyes. He gave us a pretty good price on the flop which probably signifies weakness rather than strength. Just call flop and fold to any further turn action. Just dont think villain has it in him to get crazy. He has to think we're pretty weak and folding a ton of top pairs if he's going to bluff the turn.
I think 4-betting pre is pretty awesome here. OP describes villain as usually tight and solid which in my mind is not a player who's going to 5-bet/jam AK/JJ/TT 400bb deep. When we 4-bet smallish we get max value from AK and weaker pairs. Some of those hands will give us value unimproved on the flop, and we will take the pot down with a c-bet most of the time when we are flatted, which is also a good result.
I probably 4-bet to about 325 or so and fold to most 5-bets/shove.

4-bet folding is a gross waste of money. Might as well have 72o.
I just folded kings preflop (!!) I told myself I would never but I'm ok with it..
5/5 $300-500 buyin
I open $25, one call, BTN makes it $100, I make it $300, 1 fold, BTN makes it $800 with $500 behind. I cover.
I tank.. I say, I have kings, do you want to just throw $500 in the middle and check it down? He then turns to the tv and freezes. I tank, I say I don't think I can fold kings, ask him a couple more times, no answer.
BTN is a reg, very patient. We were playing 3 handed and while me and the other aggro kid's stacks were going through a roller coaster, he did not spew. Before the hand he was sitting at $1300 for 2 hours.
He claims to have had QQ, but idk I I believe him. The guy who folded behind me folded AK.
Because you didn't 4 bet pre, you should either fold or raise on the flop. I would've liked a 4bet pre because you have FE and if he ships/5bets you are almost always beat. Raise to 650 OTF to show you are committed, if he ships you fold, if he calls you ship the turn.
Also even if he is tilting I notice Villains like him tend to become calling stations rather than 3 bet then cbet into 2 people type of player. They usually just call then miss then grumble about how bad their luck is. So as played I would fold the flop, you are obviously a good thinking player and you can pick better spots.
