Hero has 1900 and has been playing really aggro, villian bought in for like a million black chips (100s) and covers everyone. He thinks he is way better than he is, hates to fold, and is also pretty aggro/spazzy. Loves to bluff and kind of bulldoze the table. Villian however is not too aware of my image yet though, and this is the first big hand I've played with him. He has threebet like 1/2 of his buttons in the last 15 orbits.
Hero (MP) has A
10
hero opens to 40 villian raises to 125. hero calls 85
flop: (270) 247dd
I kind of auto checked with the intention to c/r, which in hindsight was pretty terrible considering stack sizes, as seen in our problem with the turn.
villian bets 200, hero c/r to 600 villian calls 400
turn: 7c hero bets 500, villian raises all in hero calls 800
had exact odds to call vs overpair, meh. Bet 500 instead of jamming to rep fh's.
with these stack sizes is bet/3bet the flop much better? try to get him to raise/fold an overpair as so many live players love to do. Like donk 150, so he thinks "I'm seeing where I'm at" with like 88-1010?
What about preflop? Who folds to the 3bet vs this guy? Who 4bets? is my flat terrible? He was showing down stuff like 83o from his button 3bets btw.
I think 100BBS its better to C/r, but 200BBs+ C/r just allows him to play perfectly vs my range and get it in on safe turns like this one, which is obviously a really awkward situation for me when I miss.
