5/10 Easy fold? 5/10 Easy fold?

First session ever playing 5/10 (few weeks ago), probably viewed as tight at this point, been at table for about 30min

SB (1k) been chatting within him whole time, nice guy, plays straightforward

BB (2.5k) aggressive, havent seen him showdown much tho so cant put him on a decent range, seen him make raises and aggressive moves however

I think one limper in MP, i raise to 40$ with AJ on btn, SB and BB both call

Flop (130): 7AsQs

SB leads for 40, BB raises to 110$, Hero calls

(is this a spew? i figured im ahead of BB's range here given how much action he's driven recently)

SB announces raise to 600$

BB folds....hero?

seems like a trivial fold but just wanted feedback in case people make crazy plays like this at 5/10, thanks

What's your stack size? And MP limper folded PF?

Turn seems like an easy fold.

Folding flop is OK. But against a player making a lot of moves, I think raising to take the pot down and at worst stack off vs the bb might be better. Assuming bb always 3bets AQ pre and folds all combos of Q7, it is really hard for him to show up with a value hand here. We have a lot of fold equity against hands like KJ, KT, JT, and random air, and even against a relatively tight stack off range, we aren't doing that bad (assuming we don't have Js):

Board: As Qs 7h
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 32.803% 31.74% 01.06% 5028 168.00 { AcJd }
Hand 1: 67.197% 66.14% 01.06% 10476 168.00 { 77, A7s, KsJs, KsTs, JsTs, 9s7s, 8s7s, 7s6s, 7s5s, A7o }

Throw in some random spade draws and our equity goes up a good amount, making it an easy call off after raising:

Board: As Qs 7h
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 39.603% 38.77% 00.83% 8061 172.50 { AcJd }
Hand 1: 60.397% 59.57% 00.83% 12384 172.50 { 77, A7s, KsJs, KsTs, Ks9s, JsTs, Js9s, Ts9s, Ts8s, 9s8s, 9s7s, 8s7s, 7s6s, 7s5s, A7o }

fold flop, you're getting value from almost nothing on the turn, while contributing to a multiway big pot where you'll most likely be facing a big bet on the turn with TPGK...

plus the guy who donked the flop could just 3bet right there and you'll have to fold.

a lesson that would improve your game is to look at your hand strength not relative to the bet to call, but relative to the bets/raises to come and whether your hand can improve accordingly.

In my experience, when someone takes away the lead and makes a small bet like this, it's either a weak hand trying to figure out where they're at, or a strong hand trying to set up a 3bet.

I don't mind the first call given that both players could be light at that point, but after the reraise, I think you know where you stand.

Easy fold to 3bet. SB always has 2pair+.

I probably fold to the $110. That said, raising>calling imo.
