Taking 400nl shot so I don't really have stats/reads, but villain is Ryan Daut, who I assume plays solid.

Open AK from UTG+1 to $16 and Daut flats, blinds fold.

Flop: A 4 4

I bet $24, Daut calls.

Turn: J

I check here to induce bluffs from all his floats, nothing much else in his pre-flatting range that we're behind on this turn besides 44/JJ.

Daut bets $52, I call.

River: 8

I make nut flush, but am not going to get value from really anything, but I HAVE NUT FLUSH, so I bet $80, and Daut shoves for $300ish more.

Hero: ???

instasnap, your line looks so weak and the only hands that beat you are 44,JJ, maybe AA or A4s(unlikely). He might as well do this with AJ, 4x, weaker flushes, air...

no way he's doing this with AJ. 4x isn't in his range pre. QTdd T9dd is possible i guess but that's reaching. This has to be 44/JJ/88 or air. I don't think i could fold though.

I don't like the river lead.

If you fold this, don't ever take a shot again. If you are beat, then it is a cooler. Your hand is so under-repped he cannot put you on what you have. Yes, Daut is solid, capable pro, but a bluff is definitely in his range here. You MUST call.

If he thinks OP is bad, then he might be shoving AJ, but yes, it's unlikely. 43s, 45s, maybe even 64s are in his range + some more SCs than just QT and T9, he can float the flop with everything and pick up a flushdraw on the turn.

I beat him into the pot here. If he has 44 fine, whatever. If he 2 outed you, whatever.

bet turn of course

also it would be helpful (crucial) to know if daut "flatted" in mp or on the button, kinda shocked everyone is giving analysis with such incomplete information

kennesaw

k so since he called in late position he can have most of the nut hands.

I think you should fold the river because:

a) he can't have a flush (although if somehow he could he definitely should shove here for value since you should never have a flush or a boat)

b) he can't have air

This is a really bizarre hand. Not sure that I agree with your reasoning for your turn play.

As played though I think this is a fold. Like Renton said, he can't possibly have air here, and I think you're behind his value range.

Having said that I would call here 100%

Folding is bad as is not betting the turn.
