3bet light what to do on the flop? 3bet light what to do on the flop?

Ok, so I have been upping my game and playing more aggressively. But I sometimes get lost/or stuck when I 3 bet Light and the Flop don't come favorably.

I need help; when should I bet on flop vs. when I shouldn't? Such as which flop texture and how this changes when I'm in position vs. out of position.

Thank

Just some general guidance...

C-bet more IP and heads up. Start out with a check more when OOP and multi-way. If you're ever unsure, default to checking OOP / multi-way, and c-betting IP / heads up. OOP, delayed c-bets are going to work out better, generally, both when we're betting for value and when we're bluffing.

When you c-bet OOP, it should be bigger, weighted more towards value or higher equity bluffs. When we c-bet IP, we can go smaller, and have more bluffs.

Multi-way, we size down with our c-bets. Monotone flops, we size down. Heads up, we size up. Draw heavy flops, we can size up.

Have two default / baseline c-bet sizes you use most often - 1/3 pot whenever we want to bet small, and 2/3 pot when we want to bet big, and adjust up or down from those starting points, depending on the situation. When in doubt about whether to bet small or large, go half pot.

Generally, the flops with higher cards are going to favor the pre-flop raiser more. Ditto for paired boards. Low-middling, and monotone flops are generally better for the callers. Bet the boards that favor your range, check the ones that don't.

If you bet small and get check raised, over-fold weak value and weak draws on low-middling, disconnected and rainbow boards. Continue more with stronger value and stronger draws on higher, more connected, and two-tone boards.

Don't slow play thick value. Instead of checking, just bet small, and size up on later streets. Balance this by doing the same thing with your bluffs on extreme boards (monotone flops, three-of-a-kind flops).

Be prepared to polarize on the turn. We're usually going to be sizing up with thick value or when we pick up additional equity, or giving up / checking when our bluffs haven't improved or we've turned some modest showdown value. Think about your plan for the turn before you act on the flop.

Just think of 3 betting the same as raising. Vs the typical loose passive fit or fold players, you cbet at a high frequency exploitatively, and mostly give up if they call.

When i first started 3 betting at 1/3, id go $50 or whatever, and then cbet $60 with air, and if they called me id think omg I set so much money on fire, but really its just the equivalent of a pfr + cbet but at higher stakes, once you start doing it often enough itll just sorta fade into the background of your typical variance haha.
