i assume u r bet folding river . . . i don't like it . . . anyone good wud jam u all day on that river and expect u to fold 99% of your range

My thinking was that I am ahead here a good amount of the time, so that my hand is too good to check fold but not good enough to check-call if he pots it or overbets. I expect him to raise flush draws or sets somewhere earlier in the hand so that most of his range by the river will consist of medium strength hands (twopair, A8, 89, 99, JJ) which will likely call but not raise. I like to think I have about or slightly above 50% equity against his calling range and betting allows me to set my price for the showdown. So yes, this is kinda a blocking bet and yes I bet fold.

That leaves the question how often I will get bluffraised. Some of you seem to think this is a mandatory raise for villain. What hands do you think villain gets to the river like this that he now shoves? And what is your river line if you expect to get bluffraised that often?

Yea why do people make these small flop and turn bets? Bet pot...stop giving people such cheap cards

And I don't see how the river is thin value at all? I mean you made such a small bet, he's gonna snap that with any pair he was calling with

This is a valuebet? I would c/f almost everytime. Villains range is probably sets, 2pairs and straights, I really can't think of a hand he will call 3 streets with while he is beat.

One of the problems I see (dont know if it could have been avoided) is he now has the green light to turn his missed flush draw (or anything else) into a river bluff. Def. a tough spot, and I dont know if it could have been played better, under the circumstances.

You beat 8x and a flush draw. The other 100 combos of hands he gets to this river with now beat u.

Bet more on turn.

As played c/f unless he bets like 60 or something.

set - unless he rivered me I expect a raise on flop or turn like always
2P - possible
straight - I expect A5hh to raise flop and 9Thh to raise turn most of the time, so unless he got stubborn with 55 what straights can he have?

Thanks for comments on bet sizing, though. I admit my sizing is poor.
