I'd call. He's capable of bluffing in this spot, you can never have the nuts and he can, and he's most likely db'ing all hands that you lose to except 76 which he's prob not raising pre.

I'm gonna guess hero folded, and results are unknown

most of the times when these hands are posted, hero made a call, lost the hand and then started thinking about if the call he made was correct

so my guess is that villain never called and won here, perhaps he folded but most likely he called and lost (vs 99?)

Ok, since everbody wants to know so much.. but it is quite embarrassing... here goes

I was thinking and thinking about this hand when i realized, i was sitting really low in my chair and my blouse feels a bit wet. At this point I hear someone saying, 'time' and now i am trying my best to cover my face as the tears are streaming. This big burly guy next to me put his arm around and tried to give me a tissue but all i can think abt is how im just getting slammed over and over in every big pot im playing no matter how many sick bluffs i make the coolers keep on coming,,, and the money means nothing to me but Im just sooooooo tired of this at this pt. Before i know it i am buried in BBs rolls of fat. And he says 'there there' and the fish says to the CO 'see what you did? Making a girl cry... Proud of yourself now' or something of that sort its hard to say the exact thing in english. I am beyond mortified and i wish there were a hole in the ground to disappear into. I mean this is 25/50 not exactly hop scotch if you know what i mean. Once im done wiping my mouth and nose and apologizing over and over to BB for messing up his suit. I look up a bit and everyone is a bit uncomfortable. CO young professional guy in sunglasses who never said anything that session now says 'tell you what, Ill make it only a min raise. $6500 total is that ok with everyone.' Dealer protests but everyone yells at her and she asks is it ok. Everyone says yes. Probably because they just want to move on to the next hand. At that point it is just too much to bear and i just clumsily push everything in the middle co calls tables J7 gg

That sounds like one of Bored Athiest's stories, but not a bad depiction of a crying call

This is one of the better posts i ought to respond

Im actually calling flop fairly wide because im sure hes cbetting with everything~ But i dont know if he knows this. As I said i had been unusually tight this session, so this may either signal to him that ill fold a lot post, which means i should be bluffcatching a lot, or that my range has lots of PPs(remember I am first to call his raise pre), or both.

Quote:
So yeah 1) hands that Heroine can turn into a bluff with a river c/r can be discounted
I dont think so. He should think its pretty unlikely that i perceive him as a player capable of bluffjamming, as opposed to a just good reg, a high enough % of the time, that id be scared to c/r bluff - for the reasons BoredAtheist mentions. Not that this was going through my head at the time, nor through his most likely. Id expect him though to consider that my range postturn is very weak showdown value, or 2pair+, and that im turning the former into a bluff pretty often rather than just leading which i may consider less effective.

Quote:
2) Villain might cbet 67 (with backdoor flushs and str8) even 4way in order to barrel turns like QKA or flush draws/str8 draws cards he would hit (only the 5 and 9 to have an open ender) while deciding to check his gutshots, the same for QJ so a check on his part is not contradictory with the fact he can easily have QJ/67 river, i think it's even more likely to be in hsi river range than when he barrels the T ott
Yes

Quote:
EDIT : disagree with the one people (haven't read the whole thread) saying that Vilain can check TT on the turn, it's not like when you're Vilain playing the hand you will think "Niark niark niark i check the T so river i can't have TTT and i will obviously run into a guy checkraise/calling the river with an under set" even a really good player will think IMO "we are deep, i have top set i want to get value now"
Yes, its also equally silly when people say bet/call the river is better because the V will obviously bluff raise here in a spot where my range is relatively polarized (again 8x- and 89+) and we might be getting range cap bluff shoved (wouldnt it actually be a good thing if hes doing that) I mean come guys hes going to bet here so often (esp we have 8 blockers) and our checking range cant be all ways weak and the leading range always strong and if we lead he folds way more than raises... there are so many many reasons why lead and c/r are both viable imo,,,

Fwiw, I would play the hand the same except I would bomb river for pot or possibly more to make my hand look weak or bluffy. I think villian is more likely to raise your open than to b/c and when he does raise I am snapping. As played villian is repping really strong and has less bluffs than he would raise a donk bet imo. How shocked were you to see villians specific hand?

Oh and sorry to hear that you got your blouse wet but you probably shouldn't mention that around BA he's an excitable fellow.

The straight is very believable, but the crying part was not.

We all know big girls don't cry.

The asian girl in your profile picture... is that Sakura Sena?

Funny thing... there is this massively hot asian girl named Yuna who has been very active in the 5/10 and higher games in Vegas for the past few months. Whenever I play 5/10 with her, I usually spend several hours afterwards fapping to videos of Sakura Sena, since she's the best Yuna-look-alike that I can find on the web.

And since we're getting all silly, I have another funny story: I was involuntarily confined in the psych ward of a local hospital for the past 3-4 days (I just got out), which is why I haven't been posting for a while. True story. What a world.

I'm pretty sure none of his posts, including the strat ones, are levels. He actually plays the way he posts. +1 to keeping him locked up, but only so he can get some seriously needed professional help.

I'm sure you are a very competent player. Been grinding for a couple years now and I have two rules for playing (girl version):
-NEVER play amounts of money that make you cry.
-I would rather chew off my left pinky than cry at the poker table.

But I guess I have to rethink the second one. Seemed to work out in this spot. I dunno, when I had real job all the women told me that the cardinal rule was to never let the men see you cry. Seems even more applicable to poker.

I'm wondering if folks understand parody - OP did a great job of "monty pythoning" the crying call.
