Villian in hand is older man but playing LAG raising frequently with seemingly his whole range regardless of position. One notable hand, he was on BB and raised over 5 limpers with K8s. I have about $500 to start the hand he covers.

Villian is UTG and raises to $20
UTG +1 calls $20
I'm on BTN with A,10sh call $20

Flop: As, Kh, 8h
Villian postures between checking and betting then bets $45
UTG +1 folds
Hero?

Going back and forth between raising and flatting. Initial thought was to raise and get it in but the range he's stacking off with kind of sucks vs. my hand. If I raise and get shoved on I have to call. He's one of those live players that bets the same exact amount on all streets regardless of pot size. So he'll always bet turn and it will always be for $45. What's the best play here?

You should be flatting here - you have TP and a flush draw vs. a player you perceive as being reckless and bad. This is a good spot to call down. If you hit your flushdraw you should wait til the river to raise.

@droppingbabies raising to take control on turn means nothing.

@op if you raise flop hes not folding anything better. Just flat the flop let him barrel his Kx on turn if he checks you then go for 2 streets value he will call down with or A2+ Kx whatever he has.

just let him valuebet your hand for you. call flop, call turn, call river/raise if you improve

Anything but flatting is potential grounds for having your 2+2 membership revoked.

If you need an explanation why folding and/or raising is epically awful here without insanely specific reads, then you need some basic fundamental work before even engaging in these discussions.

+1 I like this as well. On the button against villain with wide range. Flat on flop. You have the best hand and best draw.

I'm gonna disagree with the people saying to 3b pre. We're up against an UTG open, A10 is not a hand we should be looking to 3b with. Do we really want to play a huge pot with only A10s?

flat pre and see a flop.

flop: i would flat the flop like others have said because i don't think he's continuing with worse if we raise.

I flat flop, turned bricked and I flat again. River was 3h. He checked river, I bet, he tables AQ and mucks. Line just seemed so passive and wondered if I could have played it a little more aggressively. Sure if I would have raised flop shoved turn I could haved got all the money in the middle or he would have folded out all his one pair hands even AJ, AQ which wouldn't be terrible but when called I'm crushed a big percentage of the time. Thanks for the help all. Nice to see my line, while passive, wasn't too bad.

.
I agree against a typical raiser Given the raiser described, were doing fine against his pf range with ATs. V is not position aware per the description, so the the fact that he is opening from UTG is irrelevant. Im fine with playing a 3b pot inp against a bad LAG.
