Hero - joined this table 30 minutes ago. Only been involved in a few small pots. Image is mild if any.
Villian - 20's Asian. Don't have a strong read yet, but has been involved lots and may overvalue hands. Hasn't shown a lot of aggresion though.

Preflop - HJ opens to $15, Villian calls in CO, SB calls, and Hero calls in BB with 9d8d. Hero played with CO earlier in the night and he has a wide opening range, example Q2 suited, and opens about twice per orbit.

Flop ($60) Qc Jc Td - SB checks, Hero bets $45, HJ folds, Villian raises to $145 in CO, SB folds. Villian has about $450 left after raise. Is this a standard all-in or should Hero call and hope for a blank turn to lead bet? Note that A and K-high flush draws are basically coin flipping vs Hero. I also think AK is part of V's range here (i.e., can flat rather than 3bet PF).

given your read, if accurate... pot control is best IMHO. For sure he's going to two barrel the turn given his 3x+ raise post flop. The AK ef draw is really of little consequence because if he's got AK, you are already beat pre flush.
Suck it up and call it down, there is a chance he will freeze out with a missed lower Flush.
What's your read on 10/10+?

i would rather 3bet now to charge sets, 2 pairs, AQ or flush draws

anothe option is a stop and go on a blank turn but i would rather 3 bet and get it in

sets DOMINATE his range

if he has AK:nh and reload

Villain description indicates he overvalues hands and plays LP for the most part. I don't think an LP is raising a draw, so I'd range more toward 2-pr hands, sets, and of course the nuts. Since he overvalues and there are more combos of hands behind, I'd 3-bet to $325.

You know what people will tell you about calling with SCs oop without initiative, so I won't

As played it sucks. Other than 2prs, it's slightly ahead/way behind. You are dead to a chop vs. K9/AK but only a 2:1 vs sets and flipping vs. Combo draws.

Long story short I think you are committed. Big draws won't be making a significant mistake against you on flop or turn. Might as well shove now to get money in against weak draws like KQ, FDs without SDs, and against 2pr/sets before a scare card comes.

So I think you have to shove here.

Shove - V might be in a hurry to protect sets and 2 pairs. Combo draws (&pair+draw) very possible too. Vs range is very complex, so straight probably has the equity to stay in the hand. Shove to charge if you are ahead.
