2/5, eff stacks 800, but one of the two villains in this hand has only ~400
V1 UTG (stack of 400) is unknown recreational player, V2 in BB is pretty solid reg, but sometimes will make loose calls pre

UTG straddles to 10, Hero opens to 30 from the BTN with AcKc, BB calls, limper calls.

Flop (90): AhKh8c
Checks to hero, bets 40. Both call.

Turn (210): 6d
Checks to hero, bets 140, both call.

River (490): 8d
BB checks, UTG goes all-in for 200.
Hero...??

It's hard to see him bluffing into 2 people like this, he'd have to be pretty desperate. I don't really think we're good, expecting to see 8x of hearts, but hard to fold getting 2.5 (EDIT: 3.5) to 1

Pretty sure you're getting 3.45 to 1.

($490 + $200) / $200.

So, even harder for find a fold.

I dunno, man. This check-check-donk line is usually pretty strong, especially for less than 1/2 pot, and even more so when it's a donk into two opponents, including the PFR who c-bet flop and barreled turn.

It would be nice to have a more detailed read than simply thinking V is a rec. Recs can do wacky $hlt like floating an air-ball bluff here, but a lot of them are going to be too scared to do it against opponents who are obviously more skilled, especially when one is showing so much strength.

FWIW, multi-way, when I smash the flop on a wet board, put out a c-bet of any size, and no one folds, I'm bombing a turn brick like my name was Oppenheimer. That 2/3 pot sizing should be an over-bet. I'm making that at least $250-$275.

Before we fold, I might try to engage V in a little dialogue, or otherwise see if we can pick up any tells on him. If we can't get any indications of weakness, as much as it sucks, I think we need to fold.

Though one but can be have some Ax that things it can get you off a chop? You could have aq aj at etc here. So probably you have to call given you are not chopping here. Sometimes you will lose to trips eg hearts as you said but that's v few combos. sometimes you'll beat worse 2p, which is way more combos

I cant see folding getting this good of a price. Random rec could have hearts that missed and think everybody will be scared of the 8 so now he jams since he cant win by checking. Or he has some Ax and thinks its the nuts because hearts whiffed. Too much weird crap happens at these games to fold here vs a rec.

Id size bigger on flop to like 70 and bigger on turn. People play too many Ax combos plus hearts that wont fold so you can get more value betting bigger here.

I call. There's a lotta hands you beat that he would do this with including turning a FD into a bluff on a pairing river card and I don't really see him calling twice with just an 8, or flat if he had two pair there.

Call given the price.

I don't see a 8 flatting flop and turn with overcards on the board unless its a 8x heart, suited connectors...etc.

I'd bet bigger in turn.

Your flop and turn sizing is pretty bad imo.

Most of the strong aces bet big or overbet this flop in a BTN vs BB situation 100bb deep which we are with the straddle. Multiway is a little more challenging but i'm pretty sure a 4bb bet is going to be wrong. Kinda tough with the short stack in it, but once you B4 and get called in 2 spots the turn has to be much bigger.

Solver will overbet this turn almost 100% of the time with this hand even with a big flop bet.

As played I just call getting this price and expect to lose a lot but the mistake was before the river.

Agree with above, bet bigger on the flop and on the turn. And call the river.
