on average, we would never see villain take this line with Ax 8x or 44 and such.
Its incorrect to apply very much logic to villain here also. Villain has TT, and valuebets river. Why? Not because he is figuring what he is ahead of, but because its an overpair and that is just what you are supposed to do he figures. Will he call a shove, absolutely. Just because he has an overpair, so he says Ok, ill call. TT etc is like spot on what we give villain, and what he shows up with like 95% the time. As usual, they play with their cards faceup a lot.
