Here's a spot where I was unsure of the best way to move forward on the flop.

Live casino game, $2/$5, 10 handed.

UTG+1 - Young euro player, pretty aggressive compared to rest of table.
UTG+2 - Hero. TAG image.
LJ - Loose player, with tight 3betting range.
BTN - Loose passive station.

All players have about $500 give or take $100.

PREFLOP

Fold to UTG+1, who bets $15, Hero calls.
LJ 3-bets to $35, Btn calls, UTG+1 and hero calls.

FLOP

873r. Pot $147.

UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, LJ bets $50.

Btn Calls, UTG+1 calls.

Hero?????

Fold. LJ has all overpairs. +1 has QQ-77. Button has all sets and some two pair. Nobody is scared of the action. You could conceivably be behind everybody and you have 2 outs to improve. You're hoping for a cherry picked perfect scenario of LJ cbetting light with AK, button having an 8 and +1 coming along with T9 or something. Raising might be a fun kamikaze play, better than calling anyhow, if money isn't important to you. But...just fold.

Preflop is close, but early vs early 10 handed you can mostly fold with the occasional 3bet. As played calling the tiny 3bet closing the action is OK, but it's to setmine, not to throw money away when everyone starts giving action on the flop

Agree with above this seems like a snap fold.

Your odds of winning this hand at showdown are extremely low.

I initially thought when I opened this thread it was going to be a heads-up spot.

In this scenario, this is an easy fold. This is the power of relative position.

Folding quickly.

Thanks all, I think I just needed a sanity check from a very strange scenario after the flop that had me questioning myself.

I decide to fold pretty quickly.

Turn is a Ten, and all players check.

River is a Jack, and UTG+1 leads 130.

LJ folds, Btn folds and shows AKo, UTG+1 shows 72s.

What a deliciously terrible bunch of players. Buckle in for a long session.

It's fine to fold vs a tight 3betting range who's continuing 3 ways after 3betting pre. We also have to think ahead, it's not SD yet so there's two more streets of betting to go, we shouldn't wanna keep calling him down if we think he has mostly premuim over pair hands.

Yep, it was a solid night. I lost my first buy-in in a flip with 99 with AKs. This guy had limped 3rd in with AKs, I raised 10x on button (still got two callers lol), then he back raises me, and I shove because I had thought he was smart enough to raise his good hands.

Grinded the next bullet into a 2 buy-in profit.

Nice come back but you shoulda posted this hand instead, some people love l/rr'ing with premiums but it looks like you might have over played your hand.

what's l/rr'ing?

Can post the hand if people want, I just don't think I'd get more of response than 'just fold lol.' Just one of those spots where you give your opponent too much credit.
