hero-750
villain-1100
villan opens from middle position opens for 15... i call w/77... two other callers
middle position seems like a non horrible player, but definately not a winning poker player or anything.. havnen't played with him before but saw him make what should have been a tough call with kq very casually like it was the nuts and took a hand down
10 10 5... he leads out for 50
i'm kind of confused by the bet, think about folding... but decided to call
turn is a 7
bingo card, he leads out for 100, i wanna make a bet that kind of commits him to calling all-in on the river, without scaring him away on the turn... i raise and make it 250 total (should have done slightly more, but didn't wanna take too long and seem real strong so i kind of rushed my thought process)
he calls
river ACE
he asks me how much i have left, kind of shrugs like eh guess i gotta lose a big pot (a.k.a I have a REALLY strong hand) and goes ALL-IN
430 more to me with over 1k in the pot including his bet

What range of hands do you think he had? Looks like a 10 to me. I fold.

He could have AT, but I doubt it -- if he did, he played it pretty weakly on the turn. I'm pretty sure if I held AT, I get it in then.
Everyone hates those situations where the player shrugs, gives a speech, when you are holding a big hand. But in this situation, I still call. I think there is a better chance that he holds AA, although his pf raise was small. Still, call.

He has Aces more often than he has Ace-ten, but how can you fold a boat getting better than 2-1 here?
He may have just played a suited ten really funky, or maybe even 55!
So his range is AA, A10, 10x,55.
I think this is either he has exactly AA or you're winning. It's extremely hard to put someone on a single hand and fold your second nuts and I wouldnt be able to do it here. It's a call

Call. You're getting a too good a price, and you beat 10x and 55, which are a big part of villain's likely range.
If he hit a two outer on the river, then you made him pay to get there, so your play is a long term winner.

ya he had ace ace... but he basically told me he had me beat... i thought A10 for sure... didn't think too much about ace ace because of his pot builder little raise from middle position
the thing is if he didn't give the speech i wouldn't even post this... but it was so obvious that river hit him...
