we are playing a 2-5 live game. opp is a young guy like me. we have never played together before. He seems like a solid TAG.

Im in CO with KK raising to 50 € after two limpers. Opp is in SB and calls.

My stack is about 600 € He covers.

flop is 597 with two spades. He checks. I bet 90 € and he thinks for 10 seks and calls.

turn is a 6 (no spade) and he thinks 10 seks and checks. I bet out 100 €.

After 30 seks He went All in.

How do you play this? critic on all streets please.

110 BB is not deep.

This is a tough spot, and the correct answer is entirely opponent dependent. A solid TAG is going to show you everything from a combo draw to straight here, with two pairs and sets making up a large part of his range. However, you've managed to put $240 into the pot, which has ballooned up to about $500, and you only have $360 behind.

If you find yourself lost in these kinds of spots, you might want to consider checking the turn in the future. This might occasionally allow a draw to get there, but you're not going to be faced with as many huge decisions for your entire stack, and may even induce a bluff or bet from a worse hand on the river.

forgive my ignorance...can you give me a breakdown of some of the more popular acronym's used here? TAG, for example. What does it mean?

Play a small pot, check turn. If safe river and he bets, you may have to call. If spade fills as well, fold it. This is an easy move for him. It's difficult to put you on an 8, and if you don't have an 8 its a tough call.

I agree with everyone that said check the turn, but want to add it is not even optional. You have to check the turn for pot control. You could already be drawing dead due to the straight. If spades come in on the river just muck your hand. If not you can call a reasonable bet, but you would probably just be better off folding. Also if you check turn and it's checked to you on the river don't even try to bet. You may get check-raised off the pot there also and that would suck since your hand has a little bit of showdown value.

Thank you very much. My problem with that is, that the opp plays super tight. The only reasonable hand for that play could be 88. Esp. his pf call of 50 € OOP is the problem for me, indicating a move there or 88. Would a push with a set on the turn be +EV? Or might my "donkish bet of onehoundred on turn" introduce his move?

This is not always 88. I would do this to you as the villain with 55,66,77,88,99,78,98, but I don't play as tight . If I was villian and had a set I just can't give you credit for the straight and even if you do have it I could still fill up to a full house on the river.

This could be a move with and overpair weaker than yours, but you just have to give him some credit and let it go. Big pots are made for big hands and you don't have one. That is why the turn check is so critical. The hollywooding by him should give you some tells for future reference.

i call this if he has AA your beat but i think you win this hand.

edit: Forbidding a 2 outer suckout on the river with a lower overpair but this is live not riverstars.

Check turn everytime here. If he then want's to represent the 8 cause he knows your pre-flop raising range doesn't include an eight by betting on the river evaluate pot and hand and maybe pick him off.

I don't think he's making a move here with a weaker pair higher than board but lower than KK however your weak turn bet does induce that. Make sure that occasionally you make that weakish looking bet with your monsters as well like the nuts.
