i know EXACTLY who you are talking about...VERY successful local tourney pro...but terrible at cash.

he is super wide here since he didnt 3-bet (he definitly has the mentality that he can call wide and "outplay" post flop...7 5 is definitely in his range..but after playing with him a bunch...and watching him...I cant say folding here is proper in the long run.

with that said I am Jamming this no question

So you think he has JJ/QQ in his range? JTs+?

I'm just trying to distinguish between his flop calling and flop raising ranges. I acknowledge he has a lot of 1-pair hands in his flop range, but I don't think he's raising with many of them.

i think he is taking a much more aggressive line with JJ/QQ pre....I event think JTs he would 3-bet. since he always wants to play for stacks when he has it (or a big drawing hand) pre (ala tourney) and try to outplay post with marginal hands IP

Right, I agree. So what I'm asking is, what hands are in his range that turn this into a shove for me? Because against the range I initially laid out, KK seems like a fold.

Every FD, every combo draw and maybe even a combo or two of 89.
