2 5. I have 1300, villain has 1000. Few reads on villain other than he got caught making a $800 river bluff.

Villain limps, I raise kk 2 before button to 30. 3 calls including villain.

Flop Js8s4d. Villain checks, I bet 75, 2 folds, villain calls.

Turn 10c. Villain bets 100, I call.

River 3c. Villain checks, I?

Normally this is an easy value bet of about half pot. Given that you have seen villain make a massive bluff, I would be worried about the possibility for a bluff raise. Would be helpful to know nature of his past river bluff. Did he check raise river, what was turn action in that hand...what was board texture. Based on the action thus far it seems on the turn he had a pair + draw type hand (910 or 10xss or maybe just Ax / Kx spades).

It is going to be tough to get significant value from most of his one pair hands (QJ, J9, 109 being the most likely candidates).

If I am worried about him bluff raising, I might check back.

However, I think the better line would be a big river bet (for three reasons) (400)

1. Our hand looks like a draw so far;
2. The bet looks super bluffy;
3. It makes it tough for him to bluff raise.

I actually left the table for most of the hand where he river bluffed 800, so not sure if he led out or check raised

I like the range Fitz came up with....

So about $475 in the pot....I'm betting out around $350 and hope V thinks you're trying to pull one over on him. Against this type of villain, a check-raise on river is a bit worrisome but think you're giving up too much value by not betting out here.

Okay, fair advice. On river, villain checks, I bet 100, villain check raises to 800, without many reads on him except for 1 recent big river bluff that was called, I...?

probably fold as played. looks like a set, top two, or straight trying to get tricky. all you beat is a bluff and its hard to imagine he doesnt have at least a pair given his check call flop donk turn line. would he turn a pair into a bluff? even if he is capable of bluff check raising, he likely wont do it often enough.
bet fold $250 on river. the problem with betting really small is you can induce all kinds of stuff and now you're wondering whether he has the goods or if you induced a bluff
