Friday night 2/5 game. I've only been here for about two orbits. I've played one hand which I raised preflop and took down with a turn bet after the flop checked around. It looks like the game is playing pretty wild, with four players having stacks in the 2k-3k range.

Villains:

Megafish (MP) ($2k) - Older guy. Hasn't folded a hand preflop for less than 3 bets since I've sat down. Plays quite passively postflop. Seems to ditch his misses pretty quickly.

Minifish (SB) (~$3k) - Has been playing a fair number of hands. I saw him glumly call down a series of tiny donkbets from an ABC player on an A-high board. ABC player had Ax, he didn't show. He's in his mid-30s, and his mannerisms make him look either drunk or just a weird dude.

Reggy McReggerson (BB) (~$3k) - Mid-20s. In the short time I have been here, another reg came over to the table and berated this guy because this guy's "protege" was mistreating a fourth reg, who is apparently fishy. He's been talking about hands from last night with a fifth reg at the table. His play has been TAG from what I've seen.

Preflop Hero ($525) raises A K UTG. All 3 villains call.

Flop ($73) A 2 3
Checks to Hero, Hero bets $40, Minifish and Reggy call.

Turn ($193) Q
Checks to Hero, Hero bets $90 (Is this sizing too small?), Minifish calls.

River ($373) J
Checks to Hero, Hero...

My plan was to go 3 streets on the flop, but the turn and river cards are pretty crummy, and my top two value targets now beat me. Are we betting again anyways and, if so, how much? We have about $375 behind.

Assuming the reg folded the turn, I bet $150 on the river to get value from raggedy A's. If the reg is still in the hand, I x/f. Presumably the reg would have to have something like AQ/AJ type hands to continue on.

Yeah, this. Obviously sometimes he turn up with a two pair or even the straight, but most of the times, he's got a lower ace. It's a question how many of those naked aces he calls though, it depends on the villain, some, even fish, will fold them, others will call.

+1 For giving villains recognizable names instead of V1, V2, etc.

-1 For making me read a bunch of stuff about two guys who folded before the decision in question.

I bet/fold, and not worry about committing. Bet/fold big. like $235. I doubt AQ checks it twice after spiking top two, and there are alot more A4/A5 than there are AJ's in his range

Passive, station-y fish need to be value betted to death. You're going ot pay off two pair sometimes, it's the price you pay for keeping these guys on the hook for three streets.

I would have bet a little more on turn to set up an easier river shove. With this river card I like betting 1/3 pot, don't see this V ever turning his hand into a bluff.

Actually I like SpexDome's river sizing better than mine, we only need to be called 2/3 of the time for it to have more a higher EV.

More on flop, more on turn, 1/3PSB on river. I don´t think mini fish is calling a large river bet with a crappy ace.
