V is loose passive pre and fit or fold and a bit passive post. Hero has solid image and covers.

ES 1400

V limps EP, MP limps to Hero, overlimps A8cc in CO. Folds to BB, checks.

Flop (20) Ad Jh 8d
V c/c, Hero leads 20.

Turn (60) 9c
V donks 30. Hero thinks, raises 90. V calls.

River (240) 7s
V leads for 180. Hero folds.

Thoughts appreciated. I'm raising the turn to get value from hands like KTdd that pick up additional outs OTT. I don't see V turning 2p into a bluff. It looks like a value line from Tx that is afraid of river going ch/ch.

Looks like a pretty standard hand. Fold river if you like money.

Getting 2.3:1 we only need to be good about 30%, correct? Do you think V can bet out with missed pair+FD (K9dd) or turn AxQd into a bluff?

well we are not playing in a vacuum, we actually have more information to consider the fold:

you raised the turn on a wet board and he called, then he led out a value sized bet on the river that he thinks you will call...

Pretty much sums it up

Raise pre, but calling isn't horrible or anything.

I think the rest looks fine. I like raising the turn for value. He can bet/call with the hands you noted, as well as plenty of worse pair / two pair + draw type hands (JT, T9, 98).

Easy and good fold on the river. Oh yeah, a loose/passive betting 180 into 240 is a straight here 99% of the time.

Raise pre, you're ahead of limpers range and you have a sooted ace, what more do you want?
As played fold river.

Good fold. Particularly given V description. Only thought would be to raise more OTT. This may increase the chance of V checking river and allowing us to get to SD.
