Hero: Mid 20s, played LAG for the most part, been winning quite a few hands.

Villain: Mid 20s Asian, haven't played many hands with him but have seen him switching tables quite often. The few hands that he has played he seemed to play them pretty straight forward.

Hero: 1400 effective

V1: around 1100

Pre flop

Dealt q9ss in the big, everyone folds around to the small who opens to 15.
Hero calls.

Flop

Qh9h2c

Villain leads for 30, hero calls.

Turn Ac villain again leads for 70 hero calls.

River Js villain checks

Hero?

I'd raise flop. You're super strong here, but blind v. blind V may think you're raising with Qx, semi-bluffs, air, etc.

Agreed with turn call.

Doubt V is checking aces up here on the river. Tons of Ax, Qx and other random combos to get value from, and if V is generally betting aces up we're only worried about QJ (which is a risk).

I raise the flop, especially with a LAG image. Turn call is OK.

With a LAG image, river is probably a bet/fold, but it kind of depends on what V expects from you. Seems he'd bet better than Q9 on that river after you just called flop/turn, and I doubt he's calling with much worse. If there's a chance he's expecting you to bet -- since you are LAG -- it might be a check behind.

yes I agree I should've raised flop, just wasn't sure if that was optimal since he was leading into me it seemed kind of fishy, thought he may be just trying to buy the pot

I did end up value betting for 160 he went into the tank for a few minutes then started talking to me, asked if I hit the A. I said I probably would've raised the turn if I had. He ranked for a few minutes longer, at this point I was hoping for a call. He calls finally I showed my hand and he turns over QJc. But I feel like I do get called by worse here some times, but maybe value owned myself.

B/f 165 imo, should get looked up plenty. I cried when I saw you checked the flop.

Raise the flop for value.

As played, turn call is good. Value bet the river about $125.

dont raise the flop. raise the turn tiny. your targeting all of his Ax cbets. all other two pair beats you. youre betting too much on the river. probably go a bit less than 80$
