Villian(covers):
Guy around 50, plays for fun. Playing on the ipad and at the table at the same time. Bluff happy image and proven to punish weakness.

Hero (400)
Tagish image.

Preflop
UTG+1 Villian limps in
CO Hero with AA makes it 22
villian calls

Flop (50)
784
Villian checks
Hero bets 24 (on the low side in order to induce bluff by villian)
Villan calls

Turn (98)
Q
Villian checks
Hero bets 42 (on the low side in order to induce bluff by villian)
Villian raises to 142
Hero calls

River (382)
2
Villian checks
Hero bets all-in for reamining 210

Please give me your opinion on every street. In game I was sort of guessing on the river wether to bet or check behind after villian takes over initiative on the turn and then checks river back to me

I think i like the way you played it pretty much every street. Most importantly it seems like you had a plan sorted out with your betsizing, and you sticked to your guns (like calling the turnraise wich you had a plan to try to induce with your smaller sizing).

On the river i am totally on board with shipping the rest in as played, as we have only 210 left and 382 in the pot, almost half potsized bet left. Nice hand.

I would check back river as our hand is pretty face up at this point, would be pretty shocked if villain calls with anything we beat, the only theoretical hand would be exactly KQ or AQ.

Also if he has a 'bluff happy' image and hes checking a river that is a great bluff card, some red flags should go up imo unless you view him as a competent player

Im not a fan of the river shove. However, when a villain with the profile you describe c/r the turn, I am shoving. You have 210 behind on a draw heavy board. You should either be shoving or folding to his raise. However, as played, I m not sure you are called with worse with a river jam once the diamond hit.

NH WP.

Seems like you got called down by some kind of Q.

i don't get it. At what point did you take advantage of this read and let him think you were weak or let him bluff?

Small c-bet and small turn bet is not enough based on this read. Better to check the flop and let him bet than bet small praying for a check raise only to call it and have him station you down.

Also, what does he do when he has a good hand? With the line you took, you got stacks in, but do you have any idea if you're actually ahead on any street other than preflop?

btw - if you think you're ahead on the turn, I think a 3! is better than a river shove because the s could be scare cards along with any card making the straight. He's either committed or not and if a scare card comes are you really calling his river shove?
