T8o black on btn. Villain is whale who is mega station and clicking some random buttons. I know this hand sucks but it's a race for his stack which is gonna get punted soon. Around 1K eff
Buncha limps, I limp we are 7 ways
Flop (21) : ATTr
Checks to hero, bet 15 only V in utg calls
Turn (51) : 5x full rainbow
Villain donks 25 hero calls
Villain dark bets 100 before river comes out
River (101) : 4x
My first hand he min cr me then dark bet 30 turn and river with 76o on 664ss Ts Tx. Another hand of note he donked 25 with AT on KQTr, got called, I raised 100 and both called. Turn Ax he donked 100 got called by obv straight (I folded). He led river 100, got raised 1200 more and almost stacked off
Not the happiest situation but if villain is a random button clicker I don't see how you can fold. He could even have a worse TX and think he has the best hand.
It's either an off-tempo slowplay (c/r looks too strong, donk turn instead) or a bluff (you can't have a T if you bet the flop, right?). In either case, no point in raising. I mean, unless this vil will call a raise with Ax and you can safely raise/fold
I'd overlimp a field of limpers with any playable hand on the Button pretty much always, and T8o easily qualifies as playable, so preflop is pretty standard for me.
The bigger my kicker, the more I'd lean to betting trips very multiway. The smaller my kicker, the less I'd lean to betting trips. Especially on rather drawless boards. With our kicker, it is very unlikely that we're going to be ahead if 3 streets of betting go in, so I'd probably lean to checking back the flop. If betting, I'd probably bet on the small side.
Against a mega whale who is randomly clicking buttons, I'm fine with a call down on the turn/river.
