It was 2/2 game 7 handed on the 3rd hour...Villain is probably the only decent player on the table, rather tight but is capable of making moves every now and then, since its 7 handed he adjusted his range, saw him open HJ with KTo..a solid player in general..the other players are either too tight or just very fit-foldish postflop..

V has about 450, hero covers..

V opens to 8 UTG+1, H on CO 3bets to 25 with 89s, folded to V who calls

Flop (54) - KJ8, 2 hearts, checks to H who bets 35, V raise to 105..I called

The only hand that make sense to me is JJ or AT,QT of hearts...He wouldnt call the 3b with KJ and I'm very certain he would 4b AK, KK..
(i've played with him quite bit and have never seen him slowplay preflop)

Turn is a 4 of hearts and he jams his remaining stack..about 320 into a pot of 264..I folded and he showed AQ with the Ace of hearts..

Now im pretty sure I derailed when i called his flop raise..I made the hand so hard to play when i flat, allowing him to apply maximum pressure..It shld have been a fold or a 3bet??

Not sure what GTO has to do with this hand. It looks like two spewy players deciding to play chicken and you were the one to swerve off the road first. I understand that you're thinking you should have called because you were ahead, but that's just results orientated thinking.

If you think I'm wrong, then show your work. Construct the ranges and do the math to show both of you were playing GTO. Otherwise, stop justifying your spew with the label GTO. Keep in mind your description of the villain was that he was tight.

Seems to be a thing in these forums now that people casually mention how they're playing a GTO strat or that one should just play GTO under certain circumstances. Pretty awesome how so many people have solved multiplayer NLHE and just use it whenever it suits them.

Looks fine to me. You describe villain as tight but capable of moves and put a lot of heart draws in his range when he raises flop. The heart draws got there on the turn and villain jammed. At that point you beat only bluffs and there are probably some bluffs you don't beat.

If your never folding to a bluff you are a station. Don't think about being out played this hand, think about how this plays against his entire range and how you have to adjust ranges based on what he did show. Preflop villain was willing to call your 3 bet OOP with AQo and then raise you on the flop with nothing but a gut shot draw on a moderately wet board. Either your assessment of villain is off or villain thinks you are too laggy.

This forum was better when no one thought they knew what GTO was.

Vs utg1 I lean towards calling this hand. 3 betting is also ok.

Flop is a check. Fold vs the c/r. It's the worst pair we have (I hope), that we shouldn't even have.

So he opened KTo in the CO... he's a solid player capable of making moves. Did you think his UTG+1 open was just as wide? Or did you "GTO it" and auto-3bet not thinking about his range from a tight player that early (most likely)?

I don't like the 3bet, you label him as tight, and he open raised UTG+1. 3betting these tight opens that light are horrible. And I hate calling the c/r... That was pretty bad too.

So he was at the bottom of his range and here you are playing monday morning quarterback. I guess you should have called the jam, ldo
