V1 (400) Non-stop talker - saying stuff like how "terrible" is is when people in tournaments go AI with 73s just so they can rebuy, so he wishes there weren't rebuys, etc. Not a thinking player, not too aggressive, just looking for cards.

V2(250) kind of a calling station, plays loose pre, and stubborn when he connects wit the board in any way.

V3 (150) not much of a read yet - gathered his chips like he was going to 3bet me earlier, then just called, but prolly in the calling station category as well.

Hero(250) - raising quite a bit preflop - V3 thought that I "liked to bluff" for some reason (hadn't done any kind of major bluff outside a cbet), and hadn't been invloved in any big pots

OTTH..

Folds to V2 who limps in HJ, V3 limps in CO, V1 raises to 15 saying he has a good hand. Hero makes it 45 wuth AK in SB.

V2 and V3 comes along - a little surprising, but they like to call, gets to V1 who talks again about his good hand, starts counting everyone's chips, then goes AI.

Hero...

AKs facing a 4bet at 1/3? Fold most of the time.

hmmmm.... tough spot. 15+15+45+250. 205 to win 325. I think I'd call here. Unless he has exactly AA you aren't doing too bad. Even if he has KK this is only a slightly losing call and if you fold and he has <KK than its a bad fold. Call and pray this tourney player has JJ, QQ or AQ even.

I probably would have flatted the first raise. It's not ideal because it likely goes 4ways, which doesn't bode well for the TP type hand we'll make (although it will keep in dominated Ax hands which is good). But we also have the multiway playability of this hand (straights/flushes) so it's not the end of the world. Plus there's no real dead money in the pot (if this hadda went raise/call/call then much more reason to 3bet). Plus this guy ain't getting out-of-line with a Button raise (he's simply raising a good hand). Plus we'll be OOP preflop (we're not expecting the Button to fold a good hand preflop, are we?).

After the all-in, it's partly a math question (do the work for us there and tell us what kind of odds we're getting or equity we're getting), and partially a read question (um, a guy just looking for cards just 4bet shoved preflop). My initial instinct is that it is a fold, but I'd have to see the numbers first as the dead money is probably leaning it towards a sigh call (especially if he sees us as an aggro bluffer, in which case more chance of him doing this with mediocre type pairs instead of just monsters).

How are you getting 15? Didn't 2 of the villains call the 45 3-bet from hero? Or am I missing something really simple?

Not that uncommon. When you raise a lot PF it makes you look really aggressive to the players that are used to calling all the time at 1/3, and they often think that if you are aggressive on the earlier betting rounds, that you must be aggressive on all betting rounds.

V1 is shoving into 3 players that just put 45 into the pot. That looks so strong. Calling is fine though but I'm not thrilled with any option here.

You're going to have to call off $205 to win a minimum of 740 and a maximum of 1050 (if both cold callers call). Meaning you'd have to be good about 28-percent of the time in the smaller pot. You'd have to be good about 20-percent of the time if everyone gets it in.

This. I think this all depends on how you take swings. The EV difference between of calling or folding is likely negligible.

There are so many range possibilities and general possibilities that it's going to be tough to figure out. Plus, with two people calling the 45 the likely hood of your outs being blocked is higher, putting you at a disadvantage against any pp.

The last part may be false logic. I dunno.
