Hi all,

Need some advice for a hand I played the other day.
Hero just won a massive pot with AA against two peoples all ins (both had QQ)
Hero: has around 600

V: 200

Pre: villain calls folds around to hero who makes it 12. Everyone else folds and villain calls.

No real reads on villain haven't established a limp call range for him. Flop is AKQ all clubs. V checks hero checks back expecting villain to bet the tur. Turn is 10 of clubs. V checks hero bets 15 and wins.... How could I have had played this better ? I could have bet flop I think but I believe checking was best her to induce. Any suggestions?0

Nothing you can do, it was a horror show flop for his small pair.

I'd make it $20 preflop to make things easier to get done in 2 postflop streets if we want.

Thanks to the smaller raise, we now need 3 postflop streets to get stacks in, which if we only flop an overpair might not be desirable. Thankfully we've flopped a set, and even though it is on a monotone/straighty board, we probably should still lean to playing for stacks. The best way to do this is to bet the flop, not check it, especially considering there is a bunch of turn cards (any club, J or T) which could halt action. I'd bet a PSB.

Turn is a terrible card and I'd probably just check it back at that point and see what happens on the river.

By default, especially against an unknown, I'd lean towards removing "induce" from my strategy and only attempt that play against well known aggros.

Just curious...do you want to play for stacks on a 4 straight flush board with 3rd set? A 45cc might look you up. A 9c9x or even 9c8x or 9x8c as well. It is hard for anyone to play back at you and for for to really take a bunch of heat. If V raises to 40-50-75...are you shoving?

This.

But before knowing he was going to fold, I think betting flop is best.
Also raise more pre to make it easier to get it in. The more you raise, the less odds he has to set mine you with his small pairs
