I figured top set here is well ahead of most of either players ranges UTG has been seen calling down with Top pairs and bottom 2 pairs and weaker holdings. Although KJ combinations are abundant with double flush draws out on the board and holding top set I don't see any other option here.

Thoughts on a lead on flop? Is checking horrible on this board on the flop?

I think flop check is by far best. Turn yeah just shove it in. plenty worse can call too given your stack size.

Flop check is fine. You are pretty much always behind on that board. Tons worse can call you and you are drawing live. The suits of your aces aren't that relevant once you turn top set. The money is going in. Well played.

At loose tables I'll often just limp/reraise. With this stack, if I'm opening, I'm making it ~$25 so I can more comfortably stack off postflop.

I'm cool with check/evaluating the flop and then having as much information as possible to make the best play (which could range anywhere from folding to shoving).

I'm also shoving this turn, especially given flop was checked around.
