Been playing for about an hour or so. Last time I got into it with villain I was OOP with K10, 10 flop and he called me down all streets with 10j. Calls a lot pre and will bluff occasionally if checked to him.

Soooo

I have about 250 in front of me and straddle 6 because I am getting really bored.

Dealt to hero AQ

it is called around by 5 other players so pot is already 36. I was playing kinda Laggy hadnt raised that big pre, but I thought since it was my first straddle it would look like im stealing blinds so I make it 55 to call.

Villain thinks for a second and calls. folds around.

Flop 1054

Hero makes it 75, villain calls.

Turn 4

Hero thinks about shoving remaining 120 but is confused.

EDIT: My thoughts are he has A10 because he is raising JJ-AA pre or possibly 1010 which he MIGHT flat UTG 55 and 44 arent in his range unless he thought that my $55 raise was a sign that he would hit set haha

this kinda has the stench of mid pocket pair. the fact that he cold called the straddle along with your option raise kind of discounts any 10 except AT. you're right...a JJ+ would definitely re-up the straddle unless they were trying to be overly and foolishly creative. given your stack/himself not having fold equity to say in to buy and yourself having no fold equity given flop play, i say he's going nowhere fast and try to see a free river.

Thanks, I thought mid pkt pair also. Either way I thought my fold equity as very low and i elected to check and he checks back. river is 7

c/f, next hand, imo. It's just a bad river card for you to try to bluff him.

I agree with dshan about him probably having a mid pp. He's not going anywhere with that river card and you betting out here is just valuetowning yourself.

eh...I think I'd just check the flop and probably fold. also consider betting smaller on the flop, don't need to really bet so big, given stacks/flop texture.

anyways, as is, i'd just c/f the turn. don't think you can get anything to fold given your stack size.

I think c-betting is mandatory in this spot. You could prob get away with betting only 60-70 tho. this is not a great spot to fire a second barrel tho. you just wont be able to fold out better at this point. If the river was a K i'd easily ship.
