1/3 FR, stacks all $1k+. i have a nit image like usual.

taggish guy open $15 in HJ, loose passive calls, I have AcJs OTB and 3b to $60 to get out the blinds. unfortunately the loose sb calls. everyone else folds. sb would cold call here like %20-25 of the time at least (maybe more?). maybe my 3bet is bad then? anyways

flop KsJc3c. Checked to me i bet $40 he calls.

turn 8c. checked around.

the river is an awful 9h. he bets $100.

I'm 100% positive I've never been at a 1/3 NL table where all stacks are $1K+, so this is obviously out of my wheelhouse, but...

I'm ok with a preflop 3bet assuming a fairly wide HJ open.

I'm fine with a small flop cbet (especially against a very loose player).

Also checking back the poor turn card.

Your title says it all; I literally can't think of a single reasonable hand that gets to the turn that we beat (other than some random underpair turned into a bluff). So I fold.

If he is calling 25% I love the 3b. AJo should be well ahead of his range and you have position. Check the flop or bet larger vs this guy. Weird spot on the river with extremely wide ranges and he can be sensing a hand like exactly what you have from the small flop bet and turn check. Clubs got there. Q10 got there.

These are the hands I see getting to the river that you still beat or chop with. AQo. JTs. QJs. AJs. Maybe more as loose as you describe him. 1010, 88-55 if he is a total non believer in your small bet size. Maybe all those broadways in the offsuit variety also if he is at 25% which is just ridiculously wide. How many is he blasting off with vs your weakness. Which for $100 you only need to be good a little more than 1/4 to be plus EV. Some players this is a snap call, some a snap fold. Most its a guessing game.

If you have a handle on him being that wide and you say he is passiveÂ…..how many times have you seen him bet river and showdown? If more than zero, any previous hand histories I think are relevant.
