No reads as this is my 3rd hand at the table. I have around 180 at the start of this hand. HJ raises to 11, has around 110 total. I'm in the CO and have QQ. Before I make my decision, BU calls. I decide to raise to 35 and get called by both. Flop is 279hhx. HJ checks, I bet enough to put HJ all in (around 75), BU raises all in which is basically a min raise, and HJ folds. I know I'm not looking so good right now, but I pretty much have to call right? Villain could play JJ, 1010, or AKhh this way. I think I bet too much on the flop. It made me pot committed, but I feel any standard cbet would have put me close to that point. Thoughts?

not sure i see the problem here. it's the third hand and you have provided no reads on opponents. is he a 90-year-old? you need to be able to look at someone and have some kind of read. it may not be great, but it's a read. or a better word is a stereotype.

you didn't get reraised pre which makes it easier but not impossible to rule out AA or KK.

this is a rare for me fist-pump call.

You should tell us the button's stack size.

Given HJ's stack size, I can see some justification for making it only 35 preflop (because 50 should make it shove or fold preflop for anyone with 110 in chips) but the first responder is right - its more standard to make it 45-50 preflop.

Once this flop comes with 105 in the pot and given that we only have 145, we need to bet anywhere between 60 and allin and commit to the hand.

You can forget any notion that OP's flop bet size was too small. We want to bet and commit in this spot. Stacks are not deep enough to worry about sets or 2 pair type hands. In lowstakes live, unknowns can be doing this with J7+ and all kinds of random draws.

Grunch: its bad not to stack off in this spot.

BU acts out of turn before me. He has similar stack to me. That's what threw me off. I didn't know if I should adjust tohis call since he didn't put any money in and I didn't know how he would react to my 3 bet. I didn't want to scare HJ out because she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing and would probably stack off on flop with any piece.

This is fine.. Button should never has KK/AA. If he has a set then good for him. Calling 35 to win 160 is a losing play.
