V2 has put you in a bad situation. If you flat V3 is still likely to throw away a lot of hands and if you raise V3 folds most everything. If V2 has made a blocking bet he folds when you raise, if he has just made too small of a value bet he may or may not fold to a raise.

Can you get any read on V3? He seems like the sort to telegraph his action and that makes a difference. If he is ready to fold then and raise to $200 and hope V1 calls. If V3 looks ready to call then flat and get that sure $75. Flatting here is odd but the chance of getting further money from V2 is small so taking that $75 is more profitable.

Mistakes were made. H was paying more attention to V2. And barely glanced at V3. Im not sure if he was telegraphing. I think the biggest lesson Im already taking from this hand is trust your reads. Dont stop playing poker because you hit the nuts and go into GTO mode vs a table of 1/2 players.

OTTH:

Im not sure what the best course of action was. Maybe for this hand it was an overcall. It was definitely a blocker bet V made as H decides to go for the home run and jams. V3 snap folds. V2 takes 5 seconds and folds and tables 98o.

I think Ive said minclicking a blocker bet is light years better than jamming against an opponent who can fold. Both opponents showed in the past they could fold. Not being results oriented I should have raised to $150 to $200 in retrospect. Probably $150. Probably gets called 75% of the time. V was not the type to semibluff on later streets as he checked to me in the previous hand I bluffed him off of. I should have seen that he never has J10 there after he bets $50 on the turn. Thanks for the responses. Going through the hand will cement in my mind to stop jamming on opponents who are likely blocker betting the river.

150-200$ is the way to go

Jamming is terrible , whats the point of playing Q4s if you get the nut runout and dont even get paid lmao.

Ya it was bad. I was praying that V3 had seen enough bluffs he would call off light. I had seen him call off over PSB with second pair on other boards for around $140. This was an exceptionally bad play. I made about 4 of them that night that cost me around $500 of profit. It is funny how bet sizing at lower limits is probably the number one factor in your win rate, not counting table selection. The other regret I had in the moment was not showing V2 the first bluff 15 minutes prior. Of course the cards likely would have mixed up different and the hand never would have been played. As far as playing Q4s vs the worst player in the world 4 ways with position. Seems like a no brainer still

I would have gone smaller on the river raise too but other than that I think you played it fine, including preflop. There is a lot of fold pre advice because it’s safe advice to give to a beginner. But getting good at playing spots like this is what turns a good solid player into a shark.
