Given stack sizes of 200 effective and a $12 bet, you don’t really have the implied odds to call with such a weak pair. You flop a set only 12 percent of the time, and there’s no guarantee you’ll get stacks in or even one street of value. I could get behind the call if stacks were 300+.
AP, bet the flop. Flopping bottom set with an A on the board is an ideal scenario because Vs have many Ax in their range.
When a tight player jams, it’s often bad news, but he has plenty of Qx in his range to justify the call. With an SPR of around 3, players spew here all the time.
