For those of you who are advocating 3-bet get it in pre, what range are we assigning to villain? And what kind of equity do we have against said range?

villain did something similar with T8s so i give him a pretty wide range in this spot. If T8s is at the bottom, thats around 20% and we're 58% against that. Even if we give him half of that, we're 50/50 against that range

if his calling range is just 5% (big pairs, 88-99, TT, big aces, KQs), then we're 36% when he calls + lots of FE

I guess what I'm getting at is that the only known info we have on villain is that he raised 2 limpers from LP with T8s with an unknown effective stack size and an unknown reason for doing so. To say he is raising with the same range from OOP and with 18% of his stack size is optimistic to say the least. There is a big difference between aggressive and spewy, and OP hasn't provided us with any relevant info to make us think he is the latter. Therefore, I don't believe his range in this spot is wide enough for us to 3-bet get it in pre.

As for 3-betting so we can jam any flop, I doubt he is calling a 3-bet with pocket pairs and only calling a flop shove of 50 into 120 when he flops a set, and really doubt he is just flat calling with AK pre with only 50 behind. And there is no guarantee he will flat a 3-bet with AJ, AT, KQ type hands which are pretty much the only hands this play is targeting.
