Wouldn't it set off alarm bells that a guy that is raising a lot all of a sudden decides to limp? Note that the 15/12 includes all the times that he is playing after a raise, not just when he is opening. A player like that is rare at 1/2. When I see one, I put all my initial attention on him. He's potentially a dangerous player or a mark ripe for the taking.

Or maybe he really doesn't raise that much.
He didn't limp he called in the BB after I raised. By raises more than a typical 15/12 TAG would I meant he plays like 30/25.

His bet indicates that he has a 1 pair type hand, maybe a flush draw. Even if he has AQ/AJ/KQ/KJ type hands we are getting outstanding direct odds to call and improve so just call.

The thinking behind the raise on the turn is ok but we shouldn't be trying it against a villain that has just spewed off stacks.

Also, I think this is a good flop to cbet.

So I'm guessing a single broadway card and two low cards you're saying turn AK into a bluff and take the showdown value on rag flops?

cbet 20 on flop.
given the way you played, if you think you have showdown, why raise the 40?
I feel like at this point, your hand is set of J's or air b/c i'm pretty sure you are cbetting QQ+ on that flop.

It's a rainbow flop so we don't expect villain to bluff raise here much. We do get a little protection value by betting here and if he does have a small pocket pair or one of the smaller pairs on the board there are a lot of scare cards that can come on the turn.
