Any other Americans get an email from Pokerstars about a petition to make the site legal in the US once again?

Yes sir!

Yes, I already belong to PPA. I don't recall the details but it sounds like Poker Stars is expecting/hoping to become a preferred provider when the legal climate improves. iirc they were spot on following US law when the tossed us all out so they may get what they want. I hope so. I can't wait to exploit DougL's tendencies to overplay his hand and Doc's foldy nature.

Live 3/6 waiting to get picked up by Merry to head to Babarhaus. At Monte Carlo. Tight/passive game. Two new guys sit down in our open seats, so table is now 7 handed just about noon. One of the new guys is the BB.

One or two limpers to me in CO. I raise the AQ.

Flop, 952, BB donks. Folds to me and I call.

Turn Q. Bet, I raise, he looks really concerned but calls. River T(?). He looks sad (I was looking to see if he'd re-donk). Check, bet, and sadface call. I turbo roll over TPTK to collect my winnings. He checks the pot, looks at the board, peeks at his hand, sighs, pauses a little, and then rolls over the 95. Then he looks over to his buddy, shakes his head, and says, "I can't believe that guy only had a pair. How could he ever raise me with that?" Needle delivered apres slowroll.

heads up at a 9 max table vs a decent player:

he raises, I call Q9o in the big blind.

JTK

I check raise, he calls.

8o

I bet, he raises, I 3 bet, he 4 bets, I call.

2

I check, he checks back, which gave me some hope that lasted a second until he rolls AQo.

----

I raise cutoff, dude coldcalls, rest fold.

Q98r

I bet, he raises, I 3 bet, he 4 bets, I 5 bet, he calls.

4o

I bet, he calls.

3o

I bet, he calls and shows 76s.

----

Oh good morning.

There's a limp, I raise 75ss, SB cold calls BB calls

Flop 422 w/ a spade, SB donks BB calls limper calls I call with my billion back doors + two overs

Turn 7 SB bets fold I raise he calls

River 9 xbc.

He tables 88 like he made a hero calldown and legitimately thought I was bluffing.

66k going into day 2 of the $2500 OE. Should be a smooth road to cashing.

If preflop is correct, then I think it would follow that the blinds are tight. If the blinds are tight, then I think it would follow that you don't have the equity to raise this turn.

That was it. I don't remember the designated amount of the rolls though.

Hell, I don't remember who won our match. It was probably you and I don't won't to remember.

spotted this in west yellowstone, mt:

i've played a lot of kinds of poker in a lot of different places, including in tahoe, but i have never heard of "tahoe hi/lo".

paging ray zee? (does this still work? if so, hi mr. zee! your state is really pretty so far, tho i feel like i'll have to take up fly fishing if i want to live here.)

ok actually i found this as like the fifth google hit, below a 4x4 club in tahoe called the Hi-Lo's. this is a weird game but i would totally play it against doc or boner for however much money they like.
