Tipping in Low Limit Holdem

I have been away from poker for ten years and just starting to play again. What is considered correct in tipping the dealers in Ca cardrooms these days?

it's normal to tip a dollar on pots that you win. i sometimes don't tip if i steal the blinds preflop, or if i win the pot heads up on the flop with a cbet.
whether ca is california or canada ( i assume he means california ) i believe those standards are the same
