Villain is 23/12/2 over a huge sample.

When he caps pf, I think he only has QQ+. Given his donk, i dont see him having AA, so I see if I can 'make' him fold.

Full Tilt Poker $3/$6 Limit Hold'em - 8 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is BTN with T T
1 fold, UTG+1 raises, 3 folds, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, UTG+1 caps!, Hero calls

Flop: (9.5 SB) 7 3 A (2 players)
UTG+1 bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls

Turn: (6.75 BB) 3 (2 players)
UTG+1 bets, Hero raises

I really dont see him having QQ/KK, maybe he doesnt want to c/f, so he is putting this in as his last bet ?

So when he caps preflop you think he doesn't have AK or AQ?

Frankly I have a different read; his stats suggest that he's a reasonable player so he wouldn't spew with KK/QQ here but just call down from the turn. Personally I put him on an ace, posssibly with a flush draw. A hand like AQ makes perfect sense, especially if you have been 3betting agressively (so he could cap preflop for value).

Also, I think by donking the turn he's indicating that he wants to go to showdown. So even if he has KK you're not going to get rid of him.

i like the flop raise as it gives him a chance to fold. Given TAG stats, it's unlikely for him to donk KK/QQ on the turn again. Small chance he puts you on a flush draw and preventing a free card, and even then he's not folding.

You're laying 2 BB to win ~8, I'm not sure that the bluff will work 20% of time.

I don't like the flop raise because it's saying "I want to fold out JJ-KK," which, in my opinion, never happens on this board.

I don't like the turn raise because you only have FE against completely whiffed hands (which are few in the first place) and because there's really nothing better that's donk/folding the turn.

Personally, I call the flop, call the turn, and either call the river or fold the river depending on the opponent. (edit: Folding the flop against the 23/12 guy can't be bad, either, IMO). I dunno if that's considered weak or not, but I just don't see the benefits of putting in any aggression post-flop.

he didn't donk, he capped pf and led out. not sure why you think this would favor ruling out AA? also, if he folds at any point after you raise the flop, you probably had the best hand anyway
