First web dev night class is tonight. Pretty excited. Text Wrangler looks impressive on my new computer. (I bought a new one. I'm an idiot.)

This is over 5 years, so I don't know if even the 4th worlders could make it on $2 per year. But hey, I started off down 200 BB, so I view this as a good thing. Everyone else should just view it as yet another reason to take any advice I spew off with a grain of salt.

Just out of curiosity, how many hours is this? I assume it's a lot. I was down 350 BB at 6/12 before I realized that I had no idea what I was doing. Of course I still have no idea what I'm doing, but I am only down 27 BB lifetime at 6/12 now.

Fun with online fish

Baddish reg opens CO, I 3! Q9 OTB, SB caps, BB calls we call away we go

Flop (8 BB) 853, SB bets, BB calls, CO folds and I just call because I don't think I've a lot of fold equity.

Turn (9.5 BB) 4, SB bets, BB calls, I raise, they call.

River (15.5 BB): 4, SB check, BB just bets right out, I decide to raise/fold, SB fold, BB calls and shows his expertly played AA

What are you playing on, and what stakes?

We've exchanged the fur coat dilemma for a Good Time small burger minus the sides dilemma.

Okay fine maybe I'm a nit.
FWIW I've already had a hand where he limped UTG w/ 77, got raised by me in the small, and failed to raise any street on 345-2-6.

He sounds random and terrible. He doesn't always raise the nuts, so I can't be sure his raise means the nuts. Online I get suspicious of lines that make no sense. If this guy fastplayed when he had it, your case would be stronger.

First hand a new 40-80 at Bay 101 today. I luckboxed my way into the button, and the luckbox still seems to be working: Action is folded to me, I squeeze my cards and see black AA. I open BTN, SB (white guy, needs a shave, but dressed in Oxford shirt and expensive-looking trousers that look like part of a suit) flat-calls, BB folds. Flop is 8-5-3, two diamonds. SB donks, I call. Turn is a black 9. SB bets, I raise, they call. River is a rainbow 6. Check, bet, call. I show my hand, SB sighs, shows JJ, and mucks. I love this game.

It was a little shy of 200 hours on the way down 200 and a little more than 200 hours on the way back to break even.

Started a Bovada account a month ago with $200. Bet 100 to win 80 for a free sports bet to make it to 280. Played one session of .5/1 and turned it into 320. Upped the stakes to 4/8, ran terribad and went down to 146. I've been playing cheeseburger stakes for 3ish weeks. I'm now up to 356 playing .25/.5 LHE, .02/.05PLO and .02/.05 NLHE. All 6m

We want the gold, sucka!

Running terribad to lose 20ish bets? That's 3 hands?

****. You're right. Hyperbole.

Right thread for it. Now you just need a couple of sports bets to move up.
03-04-2014 , 12:12 PM
Degen it up at BJ, IMO.
03-04-2014 , 12:36 PM
Degen it up at BJ and then post in OOT asking if anyone can hook you up with a bookie.

I can laugh about it now. Commerce 4-8 I'd been treading water for 2 hours or so, while all around me some of LHE's worst do what they do best.

UTG I raise J-J of black and get 3 calls. Flop is Jh-2d-3d. I bet and the first cold caller calls again. Turn is a black 9 and I b/3/5/7, he calls the 7 bet. River is a black Ace and I b/3 then call his 4-bet. 4h-5h is good sir. 7 bets on the turn, with the nut low, Thank you for the action.

random question from 8/16 O8 game:

I am the kill UTG and have KT87. I knuckle it and 4 other people see the flop for 1 bet.

Flop A Q J. Hooray! I bet and get 2 calls.
Turn A I bet and a nitty white kid in a hoodie raises. Other player coldcalls all in. Jackpot is quad 9s or better beaten and there is a $300 (roughly 19 BB) bonus for a royal. This is still a fold, right?

You know those days which you know have the potential to be remembered for years to come by those close to you, yet the reasons it would be remembered are completely out of your control?

In preparation for such a day, I'm busily smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee like a champ.

Coincidentally, I am no longer able to keep up with the dark skinned fellows on the basketball court as I could when I was young.

So we're playing 16/32 O8 for this hand essentially, right?

$80 pre + $48 flop + $160 turn = $288 in the pot.

+ $300 for royal = $588.

You're getting 588:32 on your one out draw, and unfortunately we can't discard it from either opponent's hands. In fact, given their play, it's more likely that they've the J. So 43:1 odds, so you'd need to make $1,376 when you hit to make a $32 call profitable. With dirty outs, I'd probably just call if my share of the BBJ for hitting would be at least $900.
